 Mail-In Details for Prints and Discs of Images:
a) a minimum of five and a maximum of ten 8″ by 10″ hard copy prints of drawings or photographs; and
b) a minimum of five and a maximum of ten high quality digital electronic drawings or photos in jpg format ONLY  (600 dpi resolution, in RGB colour; Tiff images not accepted) on a CD or DVD. Forward prints and discs to:

Wood WORKS! BC presents 2013 Community Recognition Awards at UBCM Convention
VANCOUVER, Sept. 18, 2013 /CNW/ – A passion and appreciation for wood use in the building and design of local government projects was celebrated today at the Union of B.C. Municipalities Convention in Vancouver, as WoodWORKS! BC recognized winners of the 2013 Community Recognition Awards. The awards are presented annually to local governments that have been exemplary advocates for wood. This may be demonstrated through the specification of wood in a community project and/or through visionary initiatives that work toward building a community culture of wood.

Monday, March 3, 2014:Â Vancouver Convention Centre – West
The reception will begin at 5:00 pm giving guests the opportunity to mingle and to view the project story boards of all of the 2014 nominations while enjoying the background music of a local jazz ensemble.
Guests will be seated for dinner at 6:30 pm.

UBCO Wellness and Fitness Centre Case Study
Following the receipt of a substantial private donation for the express purpose of building a new fitness centre on the UBCO campus, UBC Properties Trust2 held a design-build competition for the new building. The donor stipulated two conditions for the facility: it needed to have an aviation theme, and it had to demonstrate innovative wood construction.
