The 17, 200 sq. m. Kwantlen University College Trades & Technology Centre offers entry level, apprenticeship, diploma and applied degree programs. Local produced products were used throughout this new facility. Large glulam beams are featured predominantly in the atrium and Farrier Building. The beams were produced within a 500 mile radius of the campus. The beams provide a strong connection between the industrial trades’ facility and a high end university centre. The use of wood in the design softened the use of steel and showcases the multi-coloured glazing in the eye-catching atrium.
