She has participated in numerous research and development projects related to fire and acoustic performance of building systems, as well as projects related to standard fire testing and certification of building products. |
Mass Timber in the Code and Alternative Solutions This presentation will discuss how the use of mass timber fits into the current building code’s regulatory environment. It will also present some of the tools available to assist designers to demonstrate compliance to fire-resistance rating requirements for mass timber elements, as well as discuss information that can be useful in the development of alternative solutions using mass timber.
